IMO Alternative Fuel and Technology Safety Guidelines
The development of IMO safety guidelines for the use of alternative fuels in shipping is overseen by the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC). Technical guidelines are under active development by the Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC) and future developments in guidelines on training for seafarers are expected from the Sub-Committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW).This page provides links to the full text of the latest alternative fuel and technology safety guidelines approved by IMO.
