Biomass for Marine 2025 (WHITE PAPER 2025)

To assess the global availability and supply potential of biomass feedstocks for marine fuels, evaluate their lifecycle greenhouse-gas impacts including LCA and ILUC considerations, analyze their compatibility with international and EU regulatory frameworks (including the IMO 2050 Net-Zero goals, FuelEU Maritime, and the EU ETS), and identify policy and supply-chain measures to enable the sustainable and scalable deployment of bio-based marine fuels beyond waste cooking oil.
